The 2nd International Congress of Medical Ethics In Iran
Tehran- 16-18 April, 2008
Medical ethics is an interdisciplinary science. It is the outcome of cooperation of different science fields such as, Medicine, Philosophy, Theology and Law, which studies the value and ethical aspects of medical science and profession. The interest of scientific and cultural societies in subjects such as democracy, human rights and social justice on one hand, and amazing and rapid development of science and modern technology on the other, have added many new challenges and categories to the field of practical ethics. This, particularly in the field of medical sciences, is very broad and significant.
The 2nd International Congress of medical ethics in Iran will be held in Tehran on 16-18 April, for the purpose of examining and solving medical ethics problems and reaching common perspectives. Through this three-day congress, which will be attended by prominent Iranian and foreign scientists, different topics such as Medical Ethics will be discussed from ethical, religious and legal perspectives. This congress is also an effort to develop guidelines for compiling medical ethics principles, policymaking, and preparing manuals as well as making medical ethics practical in different sections and improving medical ethics training.
