A Conference on Interdisciplinary Approaches to Health, Disability, and Healthcare

The Health and Humanities Exchange (HHEX) will give recognition to the wealth of cross-disciplinary research and education initiatives at UNC and in the North Carolina region. Events at HHEX will include:

  • An interactive lecture/workshop on how training in theater and the arts can contribute to medical education and clinical practice
  • Presentations from scholars across campus, including anthropologists, literary scholars, philosophers, medical doctors, and more!
  • A roundtable on pedagogy
  • An interdisciplinary student research workshop
  • A panel presentation on initiatives at Duke, Wake Forest, Lenoir Rhyne, and NC State
