Mara Buchbinder, PhD, recently sat down with the GeriPal podcast for a discussion on two of the most controversial and hotly debated topics in bioethics: assisted dying and abortion. Dr. Buchbinder, along with Robert Brody, MD, and researcher Lori Freedman, PhD, discuss the contemporary ethical conversation and points of view for the two issues. The three also offer recommendations for how physicians should act when presented with legal hurdles in regard to these practices, especially in a post-Dobbs decision landscape.

Dr. Buchbinder has authored the book, Scripting Death: Stories of Assisted Dying in America, on sale now. Listen to the full conversation at https://geripal.org/conscientous-provision-of-maid-and-abortion
