The Center for Bioethics, in collaboration with the Clinical Ethics Service in UNC Hospitals, offers an array of experiences related to a resident’s interest in clinical ethics and in the ethical issues that arise in the development and implementation of related scientific research. This fall we welcome our 3rd cohort of upper-level residents into our two-year educational program, intended to further professional development through four key elements: mentorship, didactic curriculum, clinical experiences, and scholarship. Successful residents receive a Distinction in  Clinical Ethics at the completion of residency training. Our graduates have gone on to fellowships in pediatric and neonatal critical care, as well as pediatric hospital medicine and palliative care.
