Priya is a resident in the UNC Child Neurology program. She graduated from Purdue University with an undergraduate degree in Biological Engineering and attended American University of the Caribbean for medical school. Her growing interest in medical ethics and neuro-ethics grew following completion of a Certificate in Narrative Medicine at Columbia after exploring the nuances of medical ethics and media. Her academic interests include medical education, narrative medicine, and pediatric neuro-critical care. Her research interests include decision making, effective communication, and curriculum development. She will be joining the Center for Bioethics as Candidates for the Certificate of Distinction in Clinical Ethics and will be an upcoming AAN NITCEE Fellow for the 2026-2027 academic year. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, and trying new restaurants in the area with her fiancé!
