Emma Healy is a resident in the UNC Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program and a graduate of Columbia Medical School. Her academic interests in medicine are predominately focused on patient and family education, healthcare communication, death and dying, virtue ethics in medical practice, and trainee education. She is particularly interested in the integration of humanities in medicine as a tool to improve communication and healthcare delivery, as well as prevent practitioner burnout. In her free time, she enjoys trail running, hiking, reading fiction, drawing and painting.
