Jacob is currently a law student at Campbell University School of Law. He has a Master of Arts in Bioethics from Wake Forest University, where his thesis centered primarily on the role of emotions in parental vaccine decision-making for their children. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with minors in biology, chemistry, and interdisciplinary bioethics. His prior experiences include working as a hospice aide at Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care and working as a clinical research technician in neurological surgery at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. “The field of bioethics is incredibly exciting because there is always an opportunity to learn, to engage with others, and to meaningfully impact individuals and society,” said Jacob. “This position is important to me because it will allow me to continue to explore the issues that arise at the intersection of ethics, medicine, and the law while working with others to make differences that will positively affect patients and others.”
