Mikayla is a resident in the UNC pediatrics residency program. She studied public health and music at ECU, and attended medical school at Campbell University. Their clinical interests include critical care, end of life communication and decision making with families. They are particularly interested in healthcare disparities and utilizing ethical decision making frameworks to better support patients, their families, and the healthcare team through challenging situations. In her free time, she enjoys reading the latest fantasy books and exploring new trails with her fiancé and greyhound.
