Dr. Stuart Rennie, Associate Professor, UNC Social Medicine, is the ethics consultant for Re-engaging Ethics: Ethical Issues in Engaged Research. The project was awarded by the Greenwall Foundation, and aims to create guidelines to support ethical engagement in community engaged research. These guidelines are intended to aid academic and community researchers in the conducting of community engaged research and bioethicists and IRB members guidance of community engaged research.

Case Studies Wanted!
The Re-Engaging Ethics team seeks case studies in the following topic areas: equitable and just research, relationship dynamics, community informed risk/benefit assessment, and accountability. Case studies are due August 1st. Click here to submit your case study.Case study contributors are invited to participate in a town hall meeting to finalize statements and review case studies on October 29th in Denver Colorado. Travel stipends in the amount of $350-$500 are available by request.
